Our strategy for the airline is now firmly focused on scheduled operations and we are delighted to be adding the new Madeira route to our already extensive network of leisure destinations across Europe.

“In celebration of Monarch’s new routes from Madeira, we will be offering a €12 discount off return flight bookings. To take advantage of this offer please use discount code MADEIRA* when booking.”

The UK market accounted for 20% of Madeira Airport traffic, in 2011, being the second biggest market. This operation of Monarch Airlines at Madeira Airport represents an additional supply of 90,480 seats per year.

Duarte Ferreira, Madeira Airports Director warmly welcomes Monarch airlines to Madeira Airport: "The entrance of Monarch at Madeira Airport follows the strategy that the company has developed to consolidate the UK market and offer a wide range of destinations to its clients. Also noteworthy is the fact that this operation will start in the winter, thus contributing to reversing the trend of increased seasonality that has been registered in the last years ".
