TAP's new safety video has won the "Gold" award in the Prémios Meios & Publicidade Media and Advertising Awards, Corporate Communications category. The film can be viewed on the company's Facebook and YouTube pages and is played on all flights in the TAP fleet.
With a view to reinforcing its market positioning of "With arms wide open", TAP has once again shown its innovative capacity and invited its passengers to star as the main characters in the safety video.
To do this the airline built a hangar at Lisbon Airport housing a set depicting the interior of an aircraft and over a period of eight days invited all the passengers present to participate.
More than one thousand passengers from different nationalities were approached and this led to about 250 people participating in the process. Out of these about 50 people were then selected to be the "stars" in the new TAP safety video.
McCann Erickson was the agency responsible for the creativity, development and implementation of this pioneering project at global level.
