In October, Sagres in the Algarve will host the largest birdwatching event held in Portugal: the "Bird Watching Festival" .
At this time of the year, Sagres is the main crossing point in Portugal for migratory birds, in their trip to Africa.
The first days of the festival will be addressed to specific audiences, being the last three days opened to general public.
The diverse program includes activities such as field trips, boat trips, short-courses, environmental education workshops, bird ringing and monitoring sessions, and much more. The participants will enjoy discounts at local lodgings, restaurants and shops that are partners
of the festival.
