|Christmas in Lisbon by ATL|
- In the city's historic neighbourhoods, the Christmas season is celebrated with concerts in churches and in the most important monuments
- A Nativity Scene competition will liven up the shop windows in Rua Augusta, in downtown Lisbon, but it is worthwhile visiting the historical nativity scenes from the 17th and 18th centuries. You can see them at the Estrela Basilica, in the Mártires Basilica, at Lisbon Cathedral and at the National Museum of Ancient Art, by the sculptor Machado de Castro, at the National Tile Museum, made by António and Dionísio Ferreira, in the 17th century, at "Igreja do Sacramento" and at "Igreja da Anunciada" in "Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Monte".
