Between 28 April and 1 May, Sines, the birthplace of Vasco da Gama, will welcome the 21st century navigators who are participating in the Rendez-vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta.
Don't miss this festival!
This Tall Ships Regatta is commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Confederation of Canada, and represents the adventure of a lifetime, covering 7,000 nautical miles crossing the Atlantic and visiting seven countries. The race starts in the United Kingdom and calls by France, Portugal (Sines), Spain, Bermuda and the United States, before finishing in Canada.
Located in a strategic point on the coast of Alentejo region, Sines has always been linked to the sea routes and will receive the regatta with four days of activities that include visits to the boats, parades by the crews, concerts, fireworks and many other events in a free entrance enclosure.
The RDV 2017 Tall Ships Regatta in Sines will be a festival on land and at sea, in the presence of dozens of sailing boats from around the world.
