Don´t miss in Porto, the Feasts of São João 2018

Come celebrate the feasts of São João, the most revered saint of Porto, held on the night of 23rd June.

All over the country, June is the month of Popular Saints (Santos Populares). At Porto, São João Baptista is the celebrated saint. The sacred and the profane go hand in hand, joining together to create the city's biggest festival of the year.
This year, a rich and varied program has already began, and it will extend till the 24th June, the official day of São João and public holiday in town, offering tradition, cultural events, street music and entertainment. The highlight will be on 22, 23 and 24 June, with the street parade at Avenida dos Aliados, the vibrant firework prepared by the City Hall (on the night of 23/24 June) and on June 24th, the traditional Concert of São João, this year performed by the Portuguese Symphonic Orchestra, at 5 pm in Aliados, with the special contribution of the Clarinet Quartet of Lisbon.

Have a look at the program here, after all, you don’t want to miss anything of this great festivity or all the city of Porto has to offer;)
