It´s starts tomorrow the Medieval journey to Santa Maria da Feira

Every year in the end of the month of July and beginning of August, Santa Maria da Feira  becomes a medieval town, filled with knights in heavy armour, wielding long swords and taking part in jousting tournaments.

Over a 12-day period, the historical centre is transformed into a major medieval fair, with the presence of merchants, artisans, blacksmiths, bakers, mule-drivers and liqueur sellers.

Inside the castle, visitors may observe scenes from the daily life of the epoch and outside they may take part in the renowned festivities and savour specialty dishes from the past. In the streets, acrobats, musicians, jugglers and fire-eaters exhibit their skills, transporting visitors back in time.

From 24 - 26 May, don't miss the Imaginarius – International Street Theatre Festival, in Santa Maria da Feira

The 13th edition of Imaginarius – International Street Theatre Festival will take over the city of Santa Maria da Feira between 24 and 26 May.

For three days, more than 400 artists from 16 countries will occupy and reinvent the public spaces of the “Capital of Street Arts” with 48 projects, 117 performances – all with free entrance – 25 national premières, 19 world premières and five self-creations.
