New Emergency ID Card: In case of emergency it will speak for you!

The Emergency Card is a document that contains useful information to the emergency response teams in case of emergency.

It is intended to anyone who is in Portugal and can be obtained free of charge from the official websites of the promoting entities.

After downloading the document, fill-in the blank fields directly in the PDF and print in A4 format. Cut to size and keep it in your wallet so that it is easily found in an emergency. If there are changes to the entered data, repeat the process.

Write the full address of your permanent RESIDENCE (where you live regularly and not where you are on vacation) and indicate the telephone number with country code of the police AUTHORITY of this address to facilitate direct contact. Also write the place of STAY IN PORTUGAL where you will stay (locality or lodging). 

Do not forget the country code of the emergency contact. Please be aware that the information entered is at your own risk and that this not for use as an official identification document. Your data will not be stored in any database, it will be limited to the completed document.

Eat & Shop: Lisboa launches a new card with discounts

Lisboa Eat & Shop is the new card created by the Lisboa Tourist Association (ATL) to promote and publicise the gastronomy of the region while offering discounts in traditional commerce.

The personal and non-transferrable card is valid for 72 hours and gives discounts of between 10% and 20% in more than one hundred Lisboa Tourist Association partners, including craft, antique, travel equipment, fashion, footwear, sports and design shops, and also in Fado restaurants where one can enjoy traditional Portuguese gastronomy and listen to the song which is classified as World Heritage.

The card can be purchased online at http://www.askmelisboa.com or at tourist information offices for six Euros. 

Lisboa Eat & Shop joins the already existing Lisboa Card, a pass with discounts of up to 50% in Museums, Monuments and many other locations of tourist interest and free access to public transport.

According to EuroTest, Lisboa has one of Europe’s Best Tourist Cards.

According to a study by Eurotest, the Lisboa Card is one of Top Five Europe’s best tourist cards, among other 16 European cards that were included in this study.

In this study, the Lisboa Card didn’t score more points because it fails to provide priority admission but scored points for offering free access to public transportation ( now including the metro from the Lisbon airport) and to a varied choice of attractions, including the main monuments and landmarks.
So, it really a card worth the investment because you can save money and time, of course depending on the type of visit. In case it's a cultural visit ... it's a Must Buy!
