New Year’s Party at Terreiro do Paço, Lisbon

From 29th to New Year's Eve Lisbon offers you three nights of free concerts, from traditional to classical music, including some of the new artists that are setting the rhythm in Portugal, being Praça do Comércio the place to go to celebrate the coming of a New Year. 

DJ, producer and founder of Buraka Som Sistema, Branko, is the star of the first night, 29, and brings along with him names like Carlão, Sara Tavares, Dino D’Santiago and Cachupa Psicadélica. Before Branko's performance, at 9.30pm, Pedro will set the pace with a DJ set.

Sunday (30), Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa will take to the stage also at 9.30pm to perform themes by composers like Beethoven, Puccini or Verdi, conducted by Maestro Pedro Amaral and with the special appearances of tenor Carlos Guilherme and soprano Elisabete Matos.

With this we arrive at December 31st, the most expected of all the nights. The event starts at 10 pm with traditional Portuguese music by Daniel Pereira Cristo and Tatanka, João Só and Ana Bacalhau. At midnight we'll have the awaited fireworks, and the party will then go on through the night with Lisboa, by Richie Campbell. The musician will share the stage with Dengaz, Mishlawi, Plutonio and DJ Dadda.

Lisboa will welcome in the New Year at the Terreiro do Paço

A spectacular firework display will light up the skies over the Portuguese capital as the square also hosts concerts by several Portuguese artists.

Come and celebrate with good music and lots of fun with a fabulous view over the river Tagus.

New Year's Eve Party in Lisboa

On December 31st Lisboa dresses up to welcome and to celebrate amongst the New Year friends.

Thousands of people fill the city main streets and public squares to celebrate amongst the New Year friends.  The Terreiro do Paço will be the giant party hall for the city’s New Year’s celebrations featuring lots of entertainment to mark the passage into the New Year. 

Lisboa has begun the countdown to its big New Year's Eve night. But this New Year's Eve promises much more. To mark the entry of the New Year Lisboa's skies will light up with a fabulous fireworks display and musical entertainment. 

Do not make any more plans for New Year ... and enter Lisboa's largest "living room", Terreiro do Paço, with a fabulous view of the River Tagus and the best Portuguese music.
