Portugal. Perfect location

Every scenery can be found here!

Torre de Belém, Lisbon © Turismo de Lisboa
Situated in the extreme south-west of Europe, with its mild climate, 3000 hours of sunshine per year and 850 kms of splendid beaches bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, Portugal is a country with perfect conditions for productions all year long. Due to its unique geography, you can find an amazing variety of locations in an incredibly short distance.

There is something magical about the light of Lisbon, which was captured by Wim Wenders in his films “Lisbon Story” and “The state of things”, or by Bille August in the “Nighttrain to Lisbon”. The city of Porto also attracted the director (and actor) John Malkovich, to film “Dancer Upstairs”, and long before Harry Potter cast his spell on the world, Portugal (specially Porto) inspired J.K. Rowling in creating her stories. The Alentejo landscapes also became set to the film “The House of the Spirits” with Antonio Banderas and Meryl Streep.

Did you know that the most famous international spy, James Bond, was “created” by Ian Flemming when he was in Estoril? The Casino of Estoril gave him the inspiration to write “Casino Royale” and “On his majesty’s secret service” appear many scenes of Praia do Guincho.

Portugal also featured in several international TV shows, like “Parts Unknown” and “No Reservations, from the late Anthony Bourdain, that filmed in Azores, Porto and Lisbon; or the program”60 Minutes” with Anderson Cooper that filmed “Riding the waves with Garrett McNamara” in Nazaré.

Come along and shoot your very own movie in Portugal!

From 9th to 20th June, don´t miss the Atlantic Festival in Madeira

In June, a sense of liveliness joins forces with tradition to transform Funchal into an attractive and fun-filled venue where visitors are offered a series of unforgettable concerts and shows.

The Atlantic Festival, which takes place throughout the month of June, is a cultural and fun-packed event, consisting of three distinct components: the Madeira Music Festival, the International Fireworks Competition and various street performances.

Every Saturday night, there are concerts. Combined with the fireworks, these provide unique moments in which the splendour of the firework display blends harmoniously with the music to provide unique moments of happiness and colour.

The month of June thus transforms the Madeiran capital into an attractive and fun-filled venue where visitors are offered a series of unforgettable concerts and shows, not only because of their artistic and musical quality, but also because of the magical atmosphere that they provide.
