In the 2015 World Travel Awards Grand Final hosted last December 12th, in the Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort, in El Jadida, Morocco, Portugal won 4 World Travel Awards. 

The winners were:
- World's Leading Island Destination 2015: Madeira Island

- World's Leading Conservation Company 2015: Parques de Sintra - Monte da Lua,   Portugal

- World's Leading Luxury Green Resort 2015: Vila Vita Parc, Portugal

Last night, on the 33rd annual Awards Dinner, Condé Nast Johansens has reveled the the winners of the 2015 Europe & The Mediterranean Awards for Excellence, and Portugal has won five prizes.

The five winners were:

Portugal Michelin Stars 2014

Yesterday evening Michelin announced the Michelin stars and Bib Gourmands 2014 for Spain and Portugal. The guide will go on sale today.

Portugal gained one more two stars restaurant, "The Ocean" in Armação de pêra, Algarve, and finished the list with a total of twelve Michelin stars, one more than last year. The Eleven in Lisbon, regained his Michelin Star and the L'And Vineyards in Alentejo, is the new entry in this list. 

The MICHELIN guide Spain & Portugal 2014 also lists 253 Bib Gourmand restaurants that offer excellent value for money. 

Whether they are the latest buzz or quaint bistros, offering traditional or inventive cooking, local specialties or world cuisine, all serve a three-course meal at moderate prices (no €30 in Portugal), while respecting the quality criteria of the MICHELIN guide.

Last night the World’s greatest brands were revealed at the World Travel Awards Grand Final Gala Ceremony.

The WTA are considered the “Oscars” of the world travel industry.

 

Portugal won 3 “Travel Oscars” :
- TAP Portugal was elected the World's Leading Airline to South America
- Vila Joya was elected  World's Leading Boutique Resort
- Conrad Algarve was elected World's Leading New Resort
