At the beginning of September, do not miss the last big summer festival that for two days livens up the historic centre of Faro, the capital of the Algarve.
The festival F takes place in the so-called “vila adentro” (village within) the historic area of Faro through which, over the centuries, the Phoenicians, Romans, Visigoths and Moors have all passed. It still retains a very particular charm and boasts a huge architectural, religious, natural and cultural heritage.
With a strong focus on Portuguese music, with shows on several stages throughout the city, this cultural and artistic event embraces other aspects such as cinema, stand-up comedy, musical and political gatherings, fine arts, literature, crafts, street entertainment and street food.
The Festival F keeps families in mind with a special programme for children and a ticket policy designed for families.
